The flag is flying
After a wind tunnel test, a strengthening scheme and a 1,200-tonne lift, the flag is up.
The flag has been raised on one of the tallest flagpoles in the Kingdom. Getting here meant a detailed structural review, a wind tunnel test for site-specific wind values, a strengthening scheme and foundation designed around those measurements, and erecting the tapered shaft with a 1,200-tonne mobile crane.
